We recently welcomed Sixth Form Student Millie to DDB Remedy to experience life at a Creative Agency. Here’s what she had to say about her time with us:
I recently had the pleasure of spending a week in London with DDB Remedy. As this was a completely new experience for me, I wasn’t sure what to expect – but it was interesting, motivating and fun!
The team at DDB Remedy are all very special. I was greeted with a friendly and welcoming approach which made me feel very settled-in very early on in the week.
One particular moment that stood out for me was the opportunity to attend a photo-shoot, which focused on diabetes monitors for a client. Seeing all of the different elements of planning, production, time and effort taken to produce this advertising campaign was a real eye-opener for me (and all this was just one step in a long process).
I was also given another task, which was just as fun and insightful. The creative brief was to create a short ‘mood’ film that represented what my Dad means to me. With the support of members at DDB, we created a theme, wrote the copy, and designed the visuals. By the end of the week, I presented the mood film back to the whole department – a scary but rewarding moment for me. It was a great opportunity and showcased the many skills that I had picked up during the week.
I would definitely recommend DDB. To work in London itself was amazing, and the opportunity to be a part of a very special company was a valuable experience and I developed real-life skills that will definitely benefit my future. Thanks to all at DDB – same time next year?
